Coaching Staff
Lorraine Ristic
The Academy is headed up by Lorraine Ristic, a fully licensed LTA coach who qualified as a PCA (the LTA’s top qualification) in 1996. She is a highly respected coach within the County and has been coaching for 25 years working successfully with all levels of play including those of National and International standard. Prior to beginning her coaching career she competed on the WTA Tour and played professionally for 3 years. She is still a keen competitor and has represented Great Britain on numerous occasions in the Veterans World Team Championships. Her highest ITF World Ranking to date was 14 in the Women’s 45 Age Group in January 2009.
Lorraine is also an LTA Coach Education Tutor and works within the LTA’s Coach Education Programme delivering courses around the country for coaches of all levels. She works extensively within the Academy at the club most of the time and is committed to developing the game of all of her students to the best of her ability and it is her profound desire that they are inspired to play tennis for the rest of their lives.
Sharon Hall
Sharon Hall is The Academy’s Administrator and is Assistant Coach to Lorraine. She was one of the country’s first coaches to upgrade to the new LTA Club Coach qualification in January09. As well as taking charge of the admin associated with running the Academy she also works extensively within the Programme as well, particularly in Mini Tennis. She is also responsible for putting on all of the junior competition apart from the Junior National Club League event that is headed up by Nigel Barnett the Chairman of the Painswick Tennis Club’s Junior Committee. Sharon is another very keen competitor and represents the Club in most of the inter club competitions and plays for the A team in the Premier Division of the County Summer League. She has also played for Gloucestershire in a number of Ladies 40 County matches.
